How the StockEngine Score works

Our model rates each company on five pillars, each scored from 0 to 100, then combines them into an overall score. Valuation looks at price-to-earnings, price-to-sales, the PEG ratio and free cash flow yield. Growth measures recent and multi-year revenue growth and earnings growth. Profitability covers gross and net margins, return on equity and return on invested capital. Financial health weighs debt to equity, liquidity, net debt to EBITDA and free cash flow. Momentum considers the one-year return, the trend versus 50- and 200-day moving averages and where the price sits in its 52-week range.

Every input comes from reported financial statements and market prices, and the same rules apply to every stock, so scores are consistent and comparable. When an AI writing model is connected, it turns these numbers into a short narrative. It never invents figures: it only explains the data shown on the page.

AI Insights FAQ

Is a high score a buy signal?

No. The score summarizes a company's current fundamentals and price trend. It does not predict future returns and is not personalized advice. Use it to decide what to research further.

Why do some pillars show a dash?

If the data needed for a pillar is missing, for example a recent IPO without several years of financials, that pillar is left out and the overall score is based on the remaining pillars.

Does it work for ETFs?

The score is designed for individual companies. ETFs and funds do not report the company financials the model relies on, so their scores will be incomplete.
